Entry-Level Mechanical Engineer

We are seeking a full-time Entry-Level Mechanical Engineer to join our team. The ideal candidate will consult with engineering, sales, and other personnel to design and develop new products and modify existing ones. Responsibilities include utilizing knowledge of various machines, engineering practices, and CAD software (SolidWorks and AutoCAD) to complete designs and drawings. The role involves working closely with manufacturing to resolve issues, attending project team meetings, assisting customer service with technical field problems, and managing moderately complex engineering projects.


Responsibilities

  • Consult with engineering, sales, and other personnel to design and develop new products and existing product modifications
  • Utilize knowledge of various machines, engineering practices, sheet metal, plastics, mathematics, and other physical sciences to complete designs and drawings
  • Use computer-assisted drafting (CAD) software as well as any other software needed in the completion of job responsibilities, such as SolidWorks and AutoCAD
  • Work with manufacturing to identify and resolve issues quickly to keep production going
  • Attend project team meetings
  • Assist customer service with field problems of technical nature
  • Manage engineering projects of moderate complexity
  • Willing to learn new products/processes/software/customer needs
  • Ability to work with a customer to generate designs/plans for projects
  • Generate new product ideas and product improvement ideas

Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical Engineering or
  • Associate's Degree in Mechanical Design with 3 to 5 years of related design experience
  • Experience in AutoCAD & SolidWorks
  • Ability to handle self-directed project design responsibility and work constructively with the engineering team
  • Excellent problem-solving skills
  • Ensure all projects are completed before assigned deadlines
  • Follow safety procedures, both on and off-site
  • Travel to customer locations for field measurements of equipment and layout purposes (less than 10%)
