Responsibilities

  • Assist in recruiting activities including job postings, candidate screening, application review, interview scheduling, reference checks, and pre-employment drug screening
  • Support new hire onboarding and orientation processes
  • Maintain accurate HR and employee files and records
  • Assist with payroll related processes and employee status changes
  • Support employee benefits administration including new hire enrollments, changes, and open enrollment, and life event changes
  • Assist with Family and Medical Leave Act (FMLA) and Short-Term Disability requests, including providing required documentation and reviewing submissions
  • Assist with performance management processes
  • Complete required HR reporting, audits, and compliance documentation including I-9s, E-Verify, benefits compliance reporting, and personnel file maintenance
  • Utilize the HRIS system to generate reports and support HR data and reporting needs
  • Assist with policy development and handbook updates
  • Support employee engagement activities, company events, recognition programs, and internal communications
  • Maintain knowledge of federal, state, and local employment laws and HR best practices to support compliance
  • Assist with selection, ordering, and organization of employee recognition items and branded apparel
  • Support creation and scheduling of social media content related to recruiting, employee engagement, and employer branding initiatives
  • Help maintain a positive workplace culture aligned with company values
  • Preform additional administrative and HR-related duties as assigned

Requirements

  • Preferred Associates or Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field, or equivalent experience
  • 2+ years or progressive HR experience, preferably in a manufacturing or industrial environment
  • Knowledge of HR policies, employment laws, and regulatory compliance
  • Excellent communication and problem-solving skills
  • Proven ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office and HRIS/ERP systems
  • Ability to handle confidential information professionally
