As an IT Systems Manager for Loos Machine and Automation, you will be responsible for maintaining and improving the company’s IT infrastructure and supporting approximately 160 employees across (3) locations. This position supports both office and manufacturing environments and may require intercompany travel to troubleshoot across company locations. This role involves working with a wide range of technology systems supporting business operations and production activities.

Responsibilities

  • Administer and maintain Active Directory, Windows Server environments, Group Policy, and user authentication systems
  • Oversee patch management, system updates, and endpoint image deployment
  • Manage VMware virtual infrastructure, including provisioning, performance monitoring, and capacity planning
  • Manage Veeam backup infrastructure, including monitoring, backup verification, and disaster recovery readiness
  • Design, administer, and maintain LAN/WAN network infrastructure, including switches, firewalls, VPNs, and wireless networks
  • Administer the Microsoft 365 environment, including Exchange, SharePoint, Teams, and OneDrive
  • Manage Microsoft Intune for device management and endpoint security
  • Deploy and monitor Microsoft Defender and other security solutions
  • Maintain cybersecurity best practices, including vulnerability monitoring, MFA, and security policies
  • Assist with incident response and security event investigation
  • Provide support Genius ERP system, including user setup, troubleshooting, reporting, and scheduled task management
  • Create and maintain SQL queries, reports, and dashboards, and develop ad hoc Power BI reports requested by the management team
  • Assist departments with data extraction, reporting, and system integrations
  • Provide technical support for end users across office and shop environments
  • Troubleshoot hardware, software, networking, and access issues
  • Install, configure, and maintain end-user software and applications
  • Procure, deploy, and maintain workstations, laptops, mobile devices, and peripherals
  • Set up and manage user accounts, permissions, and access to company systems
  • Manage software licensing and hardware asset inventory
  • Maintain documentation for systems, infrastructure, and procedures
  • Coordinate with vendors and service providers for support, procurement, and maintenance
  • Monitor system performance and recommend technology improvements
  • Effectively communicate with staff to resolve IT issues and improve system usage
  • Partner with leadership and department managers to support technology initiatives and operational efficiency

Requirements

  • Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science or related field
  • 2-3 years of experience supporting IT systems
  • Experience supporting Windows-based infrastructure and enterprise IT environments
  • Proficient in Microsoft operating systems, VMware, and basic networking functions
  • Excellent communication, troubleshooting and analytical skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities and respond to issues in a timely manner
  • Ability to work independently while supporting cross-functional teams
