Machinist III performs advanced setup, operation, and maintenance of CNC routers and manual machines. This position requires strong technical expertise and the ability to troubleshoot complex issues, with a leadership mindset focused on driving continuous improvement and knowledge sharing across the team.

Responsibilities

Interpret complex part drawings, setup sheets, and programs to ensure precise production
Independently set up and operate CNC routers, mills, and lathes for varied production runs
Monitor production performance and implement process adjustments or improvements
Conduct detailed inspections to verify part accuracy and maintain documentation
Perform advanced maintenance, tool changes, and minor equipment repairs
Assist in training and mentoring Machinist I and II team members
Support workflow organization, material management, and production scheduling
Ensure compliance with all safety, quality, and operational procedures

Requirements

Advanced knowledge of CNC and manual machining processes
Proficient in reading complex blueprints and interpreting G and M code
Skilled in setup, offsets, tooling selection, and process optimization
Experienced with precision measuring instruments and inspection techniques
Strong problem-solving skills with attention to detail and quality
Ability to train and assist other machinists
Reliable, safety-minded, and committed to continuous learning
Strong communication skills with the ability to collaborate effectively in a team environment
