Responsibilities

  • Perform inspections on identified high-risk purchased products/materials.
  • Review all Raw Material Stainless Steel Sheet/Plate/pipe and plastics MTRs and verify they meet the purchasing requirements. Maintain accessible e-files of all certs.
  • Generate NCNs for purchased products, gather all relevant information, and notify all required individuals per procedure.
  • Assist with machined parts inspections for all products coming out of the Machine Shop to ensure the proper type of material, finish, workmanship, and conformance to both Loos standards and customer as needed.
  • Incorporate safety and good housekeeping into the day-to-day activities of the department/company. This includes the taking of corrective/preventive action on problems within the department.
  • Effectively communicate with the Quality Manager and various departments.

Requirements

  • Educational equivalent of a two-year associate degree in quality assurance or related field, or two (2) years of related work experience in an industrial environment or quality-related role - preferred.
  • Experience with stainless steel manufacturing and fabrication - preferred.
  • Ability to read engineering drawings (SolidWorks experience is a plus).
  • Experience with Quality Management Systems (ISO 9001) and processes.
  • Ability to work independently, be initiative-taking, multitask, and work with others towards specific objectives.
  • Strong organizational and time management skills with attention to detail.
  • Capable of identifying problems and implementing solutions.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Computer Skills - Familiar with Office 365 (Word, Excel, Outlook, Teams, SharePoint).
  • Trips to Plant 3 (Bruce, WI) – Occasional or as needed.
