Responsibilities
- Monitor and analyze activities in Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable, and General Ledger
- Assist in the preparation, review, and analysis of monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements
- Prepare and maintain the annual Company budget in collaboration with department leaders
- Provide financial analysis, forecasting, and reporting
- Coordinate with Purchasing and Operations departments on monthly, quarterly, and annual inventory cycle counts; investigate variances and recommend process improvements
- Partner with operations on job costing, WIP tracking, and inventory
- Analyze and report on manufacturing costs, margins, and variances
- Process purchase orders for capital equipment and track fixed assets
- Monitor Key Performance Indicators (KPIs)
- Oversee sales tax management of multiple states
- Provide support for regulatory and compliance requirements such as tax filings, government surveys, R&D tax credit, and other reporting needs
- Identify opportunities to improve accounting workflows, reporting accuracy, and ERP utilization
- Partner with cross-functional teams to align financial practices with company goals
Requirements
- Associate or bachelor’s degree in accounting, Finance, or related field
- Minimum of 3 years’ experience of hands-on accounting or related professional experience
- Ability to multi-task and maintain confidentiality
- Strong communication, organizational and time management skills with attention to detail
- Excellent problem-solving, critical thinking, and decision-making skills, with the ability to think creatively and develop innovative solutions
- Self-motivated and able to work independently
