Mechanical Engineer

The Mechanical Engineer will be responsible for the design & development of food-grade equipment and systems from customer product specifications to our sales department.


Responsibilities

  • Consult with engineering, sales, and other personnel to design and develop new products and existing product modifications
  • Utilize knowledge of various machines, engineering practices, sheet metal, plastics, mathematics, and other physical sciences to complete designs and drawings
  • Use computer-assisted drafting (CAD) software as well as any other software needed in the completion of job responsibilities, such as SolidWorks and AutoCAD
  • Work with manufacturing to identify and resolve issues quickly
  • Assist customer service with field problems of a technical nature
  • Manage engineering projects of moderate complexity
  • Ability to work with customers to generate designs/plans for projects
  • Generate new product ideas and product improvement processes

Requirements

  • Associate's or Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical Design with 1-5 years of related design experience preferred
  • Experience in AutoCAD & SolidWorks
  • Ability to handle self-directed project design responsibility and work constructively with the engineering team
  • Excellent problem-solving skills
  • Ensure all projects are completed before assigned deadlines
  • Follow safety procedures, both on and off-site
  • Travel to customer locations for field measurements of equipment and layout purposes
