This role is responsible for procuring process piping systems and related materials to support custom-built solutions for food manufacturing clients. The ideal candidate will work primarily from our facility, collaborating with internal teams to develop material lists and quotes, with occasional travel to customer sites for project scoping and solution development.
Responsibilities
- Prepare detailed project quotations, including pricing, material breakdowns, and lead times
- Communicate with vendors to obtain pricing for projects
- Collaborate with engineering and operations teams to develop accurate material and process piping BOMs based on customer needs and project drawings
- Build and maintain strong relationships with clients, vendors, and internal departments to ensure a smooth procurement and quoting process and implementation of solutions
- Occasionally travel to client sites to review project scopes and understand layout requirements
- Identify new potential clients and develop a network of industry contacts
- Support innovation and improvement efforts by identifying cost-saving opportunities
- Develop and execute sales strategies to meet and exceed targeted goals
- Identify opportunities for upselling or cross-selling additional products and services
- Stay informed with the latest developments on industry trends, competitor activities, and market changes
Requirements
- Associate’s or Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering, Business, or a related field
- Relevant work experience in food processing or a related role
- Strong knowledge of piping systems and food-grade materials
- Ability to read and interpret P&IDs, layouts, and technical drawings
- Proven experience in sales, account management, particularly in the manufacturing industry
- Strong communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills
- Technical expertise in process control
- Ability to understand and explain complex technical concepts to clients
- Excellent problem-solving and decision-making skills
- Self-motivated and able to work independently
